The ideal ship
There is no configuration that is unbeatable or has exclusively advantages! It is an important task to arm ships for the purpose they were built. It is recommendable to equip ships in such a way that they are protected against both particle damage as well as energy damage. Whoever neglects one of the damage types, will be an easy prey.
Depending on the intended use your ship should be laid-out to have a certain weapon range. It is important to keep in mind that weapon systems can only fire within this range. If the adversary (ship, space station, planet,.) is not exactly in the right range, no damage can be inflicted.
It is also important to keep an eye on the angle of fire of the weapons. If the adversary is outside the angle (f.E. because it is very agile and is circulating your own ship) it is not possible to fire.
Additional properties which should be optimized for the intended use of the ship are agility, acceleration, the starroad drive as well as the utilization of auxiliary modules.
