The Space Stations of the S.E.C.C.T.S.

All the advanced races in the universe of Celetania have figured out that the orbit of a planet allowed another way to expand and overcome the lack of construction space on the surface of a planet.
The absence of gravitational side effects allows higher efficiency in research and development – also making the orbit a suitable place for powerful defensive structures for the protection of the planet.

The S.E.C.C.T.S. concentrate mainly on constructing space stations which will extend their military power.
Obviously even they have to keep in mind to buy resources from trading outposts now and then to make sure their continuous production of new ships doesn’t suddenly come to a standstill.

The Space Stations

Defense Sentry

The Defense Sentry is cheaper to construct than a space ship. It is possible to equip it with different weapon systems and its only purpose is to protect the planet.

These buildings supply a safe haven for ships that were damaged in battle!

Trading Outpost

The Trading Outpost is the trans-shipment center for resources and wares of all kinds. Only way for the large transport ships to unload their massive amounts of cargo is to dock at these trading outposts. They are also the connection for transportation of materials and wares to the surface of a planet.

The weapons of S.E.C.C.T.S. are infamous for severeal reasons. This is why it is possible to make a good turnover when upgrading the fleet and selling the replaced parts.

Orbital Research

The orbit of a planet is a very valuable resource since there are only very few locations for large structures to stay in orbit. The only place where experiments in non-gravity can be conducted is obviously in space. As a side effect the absence of gravity accelerates the research remarkably.

Since most of the planets belonging to S.E.C.C.T.S. are laid out to maximize the ship production, the orbit is the only space left to keep up with research.

Orbital Repair Factory

Space ships are prone to break while in use but more than often the damage comes through the fighting that is being done. An “Orbital Repair Factory” is in such situations always ready and is able to repair and refit the ships as needed in the shortest possible time.

Damaged ships which get repaired keep all the experience they have collected in the battle. This is how mighty flag ships come about.

Shipyard

Assembly of individual components into a spaceship is done in the Shipyard. Since the construction is taken care of in zero-gravity there are no limitations of the statics anymore.

Just like the Grogg, S.E.C.C.T.S. also assemble their ships in the zero gravity of the space.

Star Road Manipulator

The Star Road Manipulator is able to create ripples in the time space continuum to accelerate friendly ships and slow down enemy ships. Hereby it is possible to react accordingly to incoming enemy ships.

The Star Road Manipulator secures the boundaries of an empire. Enemies have harder time infiltrating your own systems but a fast assault on enemy space is still possible.

Orbital Camouflage

Where there is nothing, nothing can be assaulted – and nothing gives better protection from a raid or an invasion than the feeling of having encountered a wasteland. Using this system the enemy combatants can’t gather any information about the infrastructure of the planet.

The orbital camouflage protects tactically important targets and complicates the process of espionage for your enemies.

Warplocator

This space station allows space ships to be transported into distant solar systems or even other galaxies.

Relocation of whole fleets in distant systems provide an opportunity for sneak attacks.
